AIKIDO
Our classes are taught by Matt Teale (6th Dan, Shidoin) and Miltos Teale (2nd Dan, Fukushidoin).
Matt Teale has been training in Aikido since 1986. Starting his training in the UK, at Birmingham and Aston University Dojos with Chris Mooney Shihan (7th Dan) (website). Matt achieved his 1st Dan (black belt) in 1990, before spending a year in a teacher training program, studying full time under T.K. Chiba Shihan (8th Dan) in San Diego, USA. On his return to Europe, he moved to Athens, Greece, where he ran his own Aikido school for eight years. There, he was one of the founders of the Hellenic Birankai, of which he was chairman before he left to pursue a life in Adelaide.
Miltos Teale started training at the age of 7 and Aikido has been a major focus of his life since. After periods of intensive, full time training in dojos around the world and has achieved 2nd degree black belt. He is a full time Martial Arts Teacher and the Dojo manager. He provides personal training sessions (private lessons).
He is passionate about his Aikido practice and helping others benefit from all that it can offer. Miltos has a particular interest in integrating Aikido exercises with body-weight training to improve conditioning and body awareness.
Aikido Adelaide is affiliated to the Australasian Aikikai which is recognised directly by Hombu Dojo in Japan (International Aikido Federation).

Yoga
Eduardo (Eddie) Dadourian is an experienced yoga instructor who has been teaching for the past ten years. His classes focus mainly on Hatha Yoga, applying elements of Ashtanga Vinyasa and Iyengar Yoga, and emphasising alignment and breath work. He also has experience in Kriya Yoga, which allows him to guide his Student a through meditation. In his classes, you will often find his kind and gentle approach helping the practitioner own their practice with a mindful attitude, bringing awareness to how their body and mind are responding.
